Maya is a perceptive, funny, caring dog with tons of personality who needs a home with another dog and/or a household where she isn’t alone very much. We got her at 6 months old from a shelter where all they knew about her is she was picked up in a parking lot. Where ever she came from, the people were not kind to her. We’ve been working with her for the last eight months on her anxiety, and she’s come a very long way, but she still has a ways to go. Maya is pretty much full grown at 15 months, weighs 38 lbs, comes to just below my knees. She’ll come with a crate, bed, leash, toys, a brush and food. She’s up to date on her shots. She would probably benefit from some more training, but she’s completely house broken, knows sit, lay, shake and responds to her name. She loves to chase sticks and balls, but doesn’t really like to let them go. For the most part, she loves playing with other dogs and kids, but it takes her a minute to get used to new adults, especially men. With a little patience and reassurance, she will continue to grow into one of the most loving dogs ever.
